A maze of winding canals and bustling streets, Venice is truly magical.

We landed at Venice airport and hopped on the local bus straight into the centre. We explored the city for 2 full days by foot, with no map or plan (which I think is the best way to explore a new city!). We ate pizza, we drank bellinis and finished with Gelato.

The weather was hot, humid and sticky (I was the a sweaty, clamy woman – gross I know!) so the floppy hat and fan (plus some factor 50) was a must!! Our hotel was just outside the city centre so we caught the local bus to and from which cost only around €1.50 and super easy to use.

Although our stay was short, 2 days for us was enough before our next location….
